It’s not often that grouse hunting has you wishing to be wading in a cool stream, but the past few years have challenged that sediment. Warm would be an understatement in describing the past few grouse openers. 2018 was no exception. With the intent to fish the afternoon, the time in the woods was planned and limited to a strictly morning affair. A poke at running salmon occupied the afternoon, and of course plenty of laughs rounded out the day. This was the dawn of the 2018 grouse season.<\/p>\n
